Een samenvatting van een reactie van Holly Hughes op de brief van Jean-Francois Leroy:
I was delivering very personal, subjective opinions about what I saw and heard. I feel that if I wrote a reply to address points Jean-Francois makes in his letter, I'd only be prolonging the controversy and giving Jean-Francois the publicity he is seeking. I might change my mind later this week; so far I've received emails and letters both criticizing and supporting my story, and I have to think about whether or not to post these letters.

(Dat is nu weer kinderachtig, want zij was het juist zelf die met aantijgingen over vermeend Anti-Amerikanisme van Leroy de publiciteit zocht, en kan hem nu niet verwijten dat hij zich daartegen heeft verweerd.)
